Hunter Black is an independent artist with a sound that blends soul, indie, and classic rock made for live rooms. Whether he’s playing originals across Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Inner West, or leading singalongs for 300 people at the Great Northern in Byron Bay, Hunter knows how to hold a crowd. His songs land with real feeling, echoes of Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, and Amy Winehouse, but always delivered in his own voice.

He plays regularly across pubs, clubs, dual piano nights, and private events, blending reworked covers with original songs that connect. You’ll also find him behind the keys with Northern Beaches band Lantana, adding texture and harmony as the band’s keyboardist and backing vocalist. At the heart of it, Hunter Black is a songwriter and live performer. No gimmicks. Just music with soul, played with purpose, and always built for the moment.
